Vermont & New Hampshire Fall Foliage Trip:
Day 1
The journey to the east coast went smoothly. We even arrived early to the Boston airport. Here, we met our lovely local tour guide Margo who will be escorting our trip for the remainder of our time in New England.
First we traveled to downtown Boston through the "Big Dig" (Boston's 14.5 billion dollar highway renoviation). Then, before scattering off to our choice of restuarants, we gathered infont of Faneuil Hall which was once the site of several speeches by Samuel Adams and James Otis.
Several members of our group dined at Union Oyster House where JFK was said to have eaten every Sunday while holding the office of state senator. Others went to Henssey's, Dick's Last Resort, Cheers ("Where everyone knows your name") or one of the many excellent resturants in the Quincy Market/Faneuil Hall Plaza.
After a long day of traveling and crossing over the Leonard Zakim Bridge, we arrived at the Holiday Inn of Tewksbury located just outside of Boston.
